Karena kubu Prabowo banyak yang tidak percaya, Jokowi meminta untuk mengukurnya sendiri jalan yang sudah dibangunnya. Lalu Dahnil menjawab suruhan Jokowi karena itu merupakan tugas pemerintah, untuk menyakinkan masyarakat, seperti yang dilansir dari laman Detik.com (21/02/2019)
"Itu tugas pemerintah untuk meyakinkan kita," ujar Dahnil saat dikonfirmasi, Kamis (21/2/2019).
Dahnil ragu dengan data yang dikeluarkan oleh kementrian karena bisa saja berbeda dengan data yang lain, seperti hal nya BPS yang tidak merekam terkait total jalan yang disebutkan oleh Jokowi. Oleh karena itu Dahnil menginginkan adanya bukti lagi selain data yang dikeluarkan oleh kementrian.
"Data BPS tidak merekam terkait dengan jalan tersebut, wajar kemudian saya dan banyak pihak ragu karena banyak data-data kementerian bisa berbeda satu dengan lainnya. Contoh data masing-masing kementerian saja bisa berbeda-beda dengan BPS, karena ada ego sektoral. Jadi sangat wajar publik ragu dengan kebenaran data tersebut," Kata Dahnil, seperti yang dikutip dari laman Detik.com
